5:30 – 9 p.m. Dinner at 100 Elements with Keynote Speaker, Iain Christie, AIAC Executive Vice President

Mr. Christie is responsible for policy files relating to Small Business, Defence Procurement, and Space at Aerospace Industries Association of Canada (AIAC). He has a long history of achievement in the space industry, having spent 22 years with Neptec Design Group, a specialist in spaceflight engineering. He has worked at NASA’s Johnson Space Center training astronauts, including Col. Chris Hadfield, and in the Space Shuttle Mission Control Center. Mr. Christie headed Neptec’s Research and Development (R&D) and Business Development efforts before his appointment as President in 2007 and Chief Executive Officer in 2010. Mr. Christie has also been a member of AIAC’s Board of Directors since 2010 and served as the Vice Chair of the industry-led Space Working Group during the Aerospace Review.

Friday, October 9 - Education Day
22 Wing/ Canadian Forces Base North Bay
As many as 900 students from local school boards will learn about space discovery and exploration through a variety of self-discovery activities, displays, multimedia platforms and presentations.
Saturday, October 10 - Community Day
Various Locations Around North Bay
10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Self-discovery activities, displays, multimedia platforms and engaging presentations are open to the public at the 22 Wing Fitness & Wellness Centre’s gymnasium, located at Canadian Forces Base North Bay on 29 Duxford Road, Hornell Heights, Ontario. Please follow signs for public parking.
7:30 p.m. Col. Chris Hadfield, An Astronaut's Guide to Life on Earth, Capitol Centre
9 - 11 p.m. Deep sky observing and sky tour hosted by the North Bay Astronomy Club at the field behind the North Bay Transit Terminal and @Discovery North Bay.
